Dear Granite District Patrons,
Earlier today, Governor Spencer Cox announced that the statewide mask mandate for K-12 public schools will end on May 31st of the current school year. This also means that all current testing protocols will also end on this date. Our Board of Education and Administration has consistently and diligently adhered to all statewide health orders throughout this pandemic in an effort to ensure our staff and student’s safety. As such, while masks are still recommended and individuals may still choose to wear a mask, they will not be required for the last week of the school year.
Masks will not be required for summer programming and unless a new statewide order is initiated, will not be required in the fall. A distance learning option (self-paced or live) will still be available to families who request it. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact your school or principal.
We express our profound gratitude for your patience, help and support through what has been a very challenging school year.
Sincerely,
Granite School District
