Wow, that summer seemed very short! And now we're almost back in school again.
I shouldn't complain. A lot of people don't get two months off from their job like I do.
This is going to be an amazing year, but I am going to need you to do your part. First, forget the past. I do not care what you did in fourth grade. That sounds harsh, I know, but there are a lot of people that will try to tell me that you were this and that last year, and I just don't care. People change, so for me what matters is who you will be in fifth grade. And guess what? I have a feeling that you will be awesome! Second, I need you to work hard. You are in school for a relatively small part of your life. Work hard now so you don't have to later. Last, have fun! My class is super fun, but you need to help make it that way. We sing, we dance, we tell dumb jokes. And you will have more fun if you do those things and not worry about what other people may think.
So that's it for now. I will see you on Monday for what is about to be the best year ever.
p.s. Leave a comment here so I know you read it.
